For those who are trying to loose weight here are some tips and tricks that have helped me loose over 30lbs!
💙 Start off by drinking ONLY water. You may add a no cal sweeteners to spice it up. It’s helped me in the beginning when I would force myself to drink water. Now I can drink a whole bottle by itself.
❤For me I limit myself to ONE meal a day. I will wake up and enjoy some green tea for breakfast and lunch and snack on maybe a few crackers, very low cal items and then eat dinner with my boyfriend. Setting the table and eating at the table helps a lot too! Instead of on the couch or in my room try to eat at the dinner table every night. Dinner is around 400 cal and drink ALOT of water with it. Can’t stress enough! By dinner time I’m so hungry and the 400 cal feels like 2000 if you build up an appetite.
❤BINGE on only things that are WORTH IT!!! If its NOT your favorite food or meal why waste calories on it! Do I want to have another bite of this cake? Or would I rather eat a bowl of pasta? For some reason it’s been working on me! (Pasta is my all time fave)
💚Drink LOTS of green tea!!! I will have a few cups a day and its full of amazing stuff! I also have been taking green tea extract and apple cider vinegar in pill form. It’s also good to take a multivitamin everyday too.
❤Try to limit dairy or go a week without it. Dairy is super high in cal and fat. Trust me you can go without it!!! Almond milk is the closest thing to a glass of cold milk. Its also great in smoothies!! For a cup of non sweetened vanilla almond milk its 30 cal!
❤Make up a routine. If you go to school if you work full time make up a routine and STICK TO IT! Example, 3pm come home, prep dinner, relax, get some laundry done, at 5:30pm make dinner set the table, 6pm eat dinner, 7pm workout, 830pm shower, 9pm get into bed, 10pm be asleep! Fridays and Saturdays are for special snacks like popcorn and frozen yogurt. If its Tuesday night don’t even think about grabbing a bag of popcorn!
❤This might not be a great idea but it’s helped me a lot. I wouldn’t fall asleep till maybe 12 or 1 am. I bought some sleeping pills a month ago to help with it. I suffer from anxiety and that usually keeps me up. I take sleeping pills around 730pm, usually after my workout, I’ll take a bath and after I’m so tired and sleepy that I can’t even think about food! It helps me get my 8+ hours every night and keeps me out of the kitchen.
❤Exersize! Try to fit in at least 30 min of some exersize a day! That can mean anything from taking a walk with your iPod to doing sit ups or pushups. Try to aim for at least 30min. If you feel like you can do more go for it!

⭐️ do not try to “fast until dinner” or only eat one meal a day at night. trust me, you will binge, and then you’ll feel bad about it. being hungry is a biological necessity, and when you prolong that, it makes your body think that this is the last time you’ll eat for awhile - and it’ll make your stomach expand.
⭐️ try to snack throughout the day. i don’t mean gorge on chips or starches, but eat something at small intervals so by the time you get to your “big meal” of the day, you won’t be so hungry that it’s nearly impossible to control your appetite.
⭐️ similarly, “long-term” fasts that include fasting for over 3 days that claim to target the fat and not muscle are not conducive to losing weight. you might lose a few pounds from water loss and lack of waste in your system, but once you break your fast and eat again, your body will recognize this as “coming out of starvation mode” and will store most of those calories, regardless if it’s from healthy food, as fat to keep you alive, because it’s not sure when you will eat again. you might even end up gaining everything back and more.
⭐️ plan out your meals. this might seem stupid, but if you’re someone who has a busy lifestyle (full time student, employed, etc) and literally cannot just “not eat” throughout the day, try to plan out what you will eat throughout the week. try to pack your own lunches, map out places around campus, or save recipes to make at home. you’ll feel less stressed about it.
⭐️keep hydrated. this one might seem obvious, but here’s a couple of reasons why: when you drink caffeine (to try to “suppress” your appetite or whatever), it dehydrates you. whether or not you’re someone who typically eats junk, when you’re body is dehydrated, you will crave food that is salty. this can lead to various problems like water weight, which can skew your scale into an inaccurate direction, or can obviously make you pass out if you’re doing intensive workouts. it’s also good for your skin and flushes out toxins! so drink water. plenty of it.
⭐️thinking about just making yourself get sick? it might make you feel better initially, and i understand it does give you a “high” or “relief”, but throwing up directly after eating makes the acid in your stomach erode parts of your esophagus slowly. long-term vomiting can therefore cause serious problems for your health. in addition, most of the food you’ve eaten has already been absorbed by at least 75%, so you’re not just “throwing up the calories”.
⭐️ low-cal foods are not always the healthiest. watch for marketing scams that claim to have low calorie substitutes that are actually just crammed with harmful ingredients. instead, reach for vegetables like green beans or corn. typically they are not high-cal for a serving, and you’ll feel better about eating that then a “low-cal” energy bar that you saw on the internet.
⭐️emotional cravings are real! being “emotionally hungry” is a biological and psychological phenomenon that typically occurs when you’re bored, or your resting heart rate is low. it’s a habit, just like biting your nails. when you feel hungry, count to one hundred in your head. if it’s an emotional craving, it’ll go away after awhile. if it’s not - then you really are hungry.
⭐️ eat until you’re not hungry, not until you’re full. the feeling of being “full” is triggered by the hormone leptin which sends signals to the brain that the stomach capacity has been met. however, this doesn’t happen immediately. start with small portions of something (like maybe half a serving size) and then wait 20 minutes. by that time, you should have the feeling of being “satisfied”. measuring your food and being aware of serving sizes will help tremendously with your calorie intake as well.
⭐️ eat your sugars in the morning! sugar isn’t necessarily bad, but you need simple sugars that are found in foods like fruit instead of complex ones that are found in fatty desserts. try to eat fruit before noon so your body has time to break down these nutrients and use it throughout the day. it will help curb your sugar cravings later on (apples are an exception, though. they’re typically good for you at all times and help with digestion).
⭐️ use small plates/cookware! using smaller plates makes it seem like you’re eating more. trust me, it will make a difference. you’re less likely to “over serve” yourself.
⭐️ drink water between bites. this just has to do with being mindful while you are eating. chew slowly and thoroughly and take sips of water after each bite. not only will this help with digestion, but it will make you feel full a lot faster. try to avoid eating in situations where you are exposed to television or any sort of distraction. it’s hard for your brain to compartmentalize (no matter how good you are at multitasking) between tasks and you’ll end up eating more without being subconsciously aware of it.
⭐️ no late night snacking! your metabolism works while you are asleep, but the food you snack on at night is less likely to be digested right away and therefore will stay with you throughout the night and could be stored into fat cells. it’s best to stop eating after 7pm.
⭐️ watch for saturated fats. typically everyone knows that these aren’t the “good fats”, but a lot of people don’t know they exist in foods other than fast food. it’s recommended to eat less than 10g a day, so just be mindful of what you’re putting through your mouth.
and most importantly,
⭐️ forgive yourself. it’s hard to wake up everyday and not be pleased with what you see in the mirror. it’s even harder when you compare yourself to every single person you might see. you will have days where you will screw up and disappoint yourself. you will cry about it, you will punish yourself, you will work yourself into an anxious fit and wear yourself out before bedtime. just try to remember that this is a marathon, not a sprint. some people have biological precursors that allow them to reach certain goals before you. that has nothing to do with your ineptitude, that has to do with their genetic makeup. everyone trains differently for a marathon based on themselves, and a weight loss journey should not be any different. above anything else, please remember that your life is worth so much more than trying to fit an impossible standard of beauty. stay safe, drink water, and remember that it’s alright to make mistakes. you are a human being. you deserve to feel the emotions that you experience. you are not at fault for any of this. and it will be alright.

1. Drink one glass of water every hour. It will make you feel full.
2. Drink ice cold water. Your body will burn calories just getting the water to a normal temperature to digest. Also it is great for your complexion.
3. Drink 3 cups of green tea daily. It will help boost your metabolism, plus its anti-oxidants make your skin look great.
4. Take vitamins daily. Do not take vitamins on an empty stomache, otherwise they have nothing to catalyze with.

31. Make a list of all the “bad” foods that you crave and tend to binge on. Each day, pick one to take out of your diet that you absolutely, no matter what, cannot eat again. Take one off the list each day until there are no more bad foods you can have.
32. Avoid alcohol! A shot of liquor has 100-120 calories, a glass of wine has 80 calories, a lite beer has 110-120 calories, and a regular beer has 140-170 calories.

57. Eating 100 cals 4 times a day is better than eating a 400 cal meal.
58. An occasional binge doesn’t hurt, in fact it’s quite beneficial if you have reached a plateau (stopped losing weight). Your body will think you have stopped starving yourself, and you will drop at least a pound overnight! Just don’t binge too regularly!
59. Someone told me that if you take a pure cold bath for 15-30 min and lower your body temp, your body burns around 200 cals for every degree it has to raise itself to reach a normal body temperture. This person tried it, a 30 min bath lowered their temp about 3-4 degrees
Small satisfactions that my weight loss has given me in the past week:
🖤Even my face has changed. It is still round, it will always be, but it’s not chubby anymore. My dimples are more visible. I have an actual jawline and I can slightly see my cheekbones and a bit of contour. I’m also even paler than before, if possible, wich fits my aesthetic.
🖤I can feel my ribs and my hipbones. When I run an hand on my bones, I feel like I actually love my body.
🖤When I go shopping, employers look at me and say “you’re so tiny” with that little, satisfying envy.
🖤All the adults I know are all like “okay, you look much better now… but please stop. Don’t lose any more weight.”
🖤There’s this boy I like, well, he’s really really thin. And all of our friends make jokes about the fact that we’re the same size and that so maybe we should be together.
🖤My best friends always asks me if I ate, and it makes me feel important.
🖤My grandma has learnt to cook small portions for “Emma’s tiny stomach.”
🖤Last night I was out with one of my friends and she made A LOT of comments about how perfect my legs were. I remember that, two years ago, she was the small one, but now, when there was no place in the car, I was the one to sit on her lap.
🖤When I saw a girl from my class the other day, she asked me a billion questions about my weight loss, and she gave me that one particular concerned look as I just took a bite of cereal bread for lunch, while she was eathing a huge slice of chocolate cake.
🖤At a fete, a random boy patted my shoulder and told me I was cute and tried to hand me a card with his phone number. And he wasn’t making fun of me. When I said “no, thanks” with a little smile, he looked disappointed.
🖤I haven’t cried in the dressing rooms a single time. The only times I had to leave clothes I like, it was because they didn’t have sizes small enough. Because they didn’t carry an XS or because it was still a little loose. When there are one sizes, I still say “well this isn’t gonna fit”, but for the opposite reason.
🖤I was able to buy a bralette and other cute bras instead of having to get those contenitive cups for old women, the only ones who had C/D cups.
🖤Two days ago, I had an exam. When I found out I had passed it, I was with a friend of mine who always used to be the smaller one. I was really happy and I hugged her, and she lifted me effortlessly. I was pretty surprised by it.
🖤With certain types of tops, I can avoid wearing a bra, and my boobs don’t bounce uncomfortably, neither they look loose. The last time I wore a sundress without a bra, my friend didn’t even believe I wasn’t wearing one.
🖤I still don’t have a very defined thig gap (in the higher point of the thigh it is barely noticeable, just some millimeters) but I don’t have a chub rub either. Sometimes when I walk I have to stop because I think to myself “how the fuck am I walking? My thighs aren’t touching wtf, stop being clumsly and awkward” and then I remember. My thighs aren’t touching, because that’s what they do now.

please remember our goal is to be thin not in the hospital. take care of yourself. if you feel weak, eat something, even if you planned on fasting. your health should always come first. take vitamins. you want to look pretty not dead.

Ok but stores are always sold out of s/xs and I never see any place carrying xxs. (I also don’t shop at super high end places that sometimes carry stuff like that, my broke butt can afford target and Kohl’s. Lol)
